About

As a Senior Scientist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for over 15 years, I lead innovative and impactful research projects on the molecular mechanisms of aging and neurodegenerative disorders. My field of expertise encompasses neuroscience, geroscience, RNA biology, histochemistry, and molecular biology, and I have contributed to multiple publications in prestigious journals. In my current role, I collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to generate and validate novel data and knowledge using advanced methodologies, such as spatial and single cell transcriptomics, next-generation sequencing, and proteomics. I also optimize workflow management, information quality, and project delivery by incorporating robotic liquid handlers and laboratory information management system (LIMS) software. Additionally, I review data management and sharing (DMS) plans and curate big data submissions. My mission is to advance the understanding and treatment of age-related brain disease and to mentor the next generation of biomedical scientists.
