As a Biologics Translational PKPD Modelling & DMPK Specialist (Principal Scientist), my role includes overall DMPK responsibility as a preclinical DMPK lead primarily in projects with large molecules such as antibodies. Furthermore, it also encompasses e.g., 1) several strategic elements, 2) mentoring and guiding less experienced members of the team, 3) representing eR&I DMPK in scientific discipline networks, 4) leading internal/external collaboration(s), and 5) being a member of the DMPK extended leadership team.

My role was initially focused on the development of inhalation physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models, which can be used to enhance the understanding of pulmonary drug disposition. In later years, it has grown to include overall DMPK responsibility as preclinical DMPK lead in projects with large molecules (including mAbs, Anticalin proteins and in vivo expressed biologics) and peptides. As such, it includes a range of different activities such as advanced mechanistic PK/PD modelling and contributing to the design of in vivo studies. Beyond project-related activities, my work also includes e.g., participating in the development of strategies and supervising students.

"Evaluation of lung tissue target exposure to inhaled drug using modelling of pharmacologic data". The project aims to develop and apply a new and effective mathematical framework to predict the extent and time-course of target exposure to unbound drug in the lung after inhalation. In strong collaboration with Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre and Uppsala University.
