Working on an exploratory campaign required taking on a variety of roles across fundraising, communications, and operations. My main focus was supporting the fundraising team by managing data, preparing event materials, and engaging with potential donors. I uploaded and organized donor and contact information using the NationBuilder software, created and maintained Excel spreadsheets to streamline data entry, and trained team members on how to effectively use NationBuilder’s contact management features. I also prepared briefing materials on guests attending fundraising events to help the campaign team tailor their outreach. At events, I spoke with attendees and potential donors about Jonathan Bush’s ideas and goals for Maine, helping communicate his vision and build support. Beyond fundraising, I worked closely with the media and communications team, assisting with campaign advertisement shoots across Maine, capturing behind-the-scenes photos and videos, and contributing to social media content. This internship gave me hands-on experience in political communications, event coordination, and grassroots fundraising within a fast-paced campaign environment.
