The Randstad, Netherlands
As a breast radiologist, I mostly see women, sometimes men, with breast (mammae) complaints. These can be benign lumps or may be due to breast cancer. With the help of various forms of diagnostics, you can make a diagnosis. Women from the entire region are seen at the St. Antonius Hospital, resulting in a lot of expertise. Based on the results of scientific research, advice and guidelines from the LRCB, KWF, or the Dutch Breast Cancer Association, I stay up-to-date. Additionally, I work for the National Breast Cancer Screening Program. My biggest motivation in my work is to improve breast cancer care not only in the hospital but also in the rest of the Netherlands and preferably in the entire world for everyone. So that everyone is assured of the best care that is applicable to them, whether old or young, female or male. I am also experienced in other areas of radiology, including general radiology, neuroradiology and acute radiology. I enjoy sharing my knowledge through masterclasses for foreign radiologists, domestic conferences or courses for anyone working in a "radiant" profession or who is simply interested.
