Proxitron started developing and manufacturing sensors for factory automation in the late 70s and was one of the first companies to introduce hot metal detectors, light barriers and inductive proximity switches into the Italian Market, at that time through its Distributor Weber Elettronica Srl. I myself worked at Weber Elettronica for over 20 years, where I initially assisted the technical & sales manager. This role gave me the opportunity to learn how sensors work, how they can be integrated into existing machines or new plants, advantages and disadvantages associated with operation. My thirst for knowledge was strong; showing good sense, I was soon invested with multiple tasks. I had to cope with technical issues as well as marketing activities, thus gaining all-around knowledge. This led me to take over the responsibility for sales in Italy in the year 2000. I started visiting customers and investigating market segments and industries. Globalization was bringing about changes which involved versatility and new sales strategies. When Weber Elettronica closed down in 2010, I was employed by Proxitron Germany directly. This ensured continuity and allowed Proxitron to maintain its position as a leader in its market segment. In the last five years I have provided feedback on the Italian market trends, shared information on competitors, matched our sales policy with local requirements. Obviously, fostering new contacts and consolidating the brand presence - no matter the company size - is a priority. As a matter of fact I am a customer-orientated person, with well-balanced and communicative personality. Customer loyalty is my best achievement. When confronted with technically complex questions I cannot master, I always revert to our technical department. You can rely on my competence, which is as strong as Proxitron products.
