I spent a year as an assistant teacher in a toddler Montessori program, where I developed my caregiving, teamwork and teaching skills. I proud of the ways in which I pushed myself to practice patience, compassion and enthusiastic caregiving to create a safe and enjoyable Montessori learning environment for toddlers.
I've spent over 180 hours of supporting people in crisis, where I practice compassionate listening and collaborative problem solving. I've helped texters work through a wide range of serious life challenges, offering unconditional support, warmth, and resources.
At Molly Mutt, I got over a year of experience in a fast-paced and physical work environment, where I learned new skills such as embroidery, navigating Shipstation, and palletizing large and complex orders.
During my time as an intern at the Mesa Refuge, I was promoted from intern to writer/researcher. I completed a biography project for prior residents at writer’s retreat, researching and writing nearly 300 resident biographies for the organization’s website using Wordpress. I also helped with monthly events.
At Portland Mindfulness Therapy, I conducted research project on the efficacy of some of the primary therapeutic techniques of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
