Provided employment and training services for out-of-school youth, ages 18-24 with employment barriers under WIOA contract. Conducted workshops, outreach, assessments, and career counseling. Developed worksites, employment opportunities, and training sites. Made referrals to other services and agencies.
Analyzed state and federal legislation, directives, local policies, grants, and internal procedures to make recommendations to upper management. Supervised 8 staff, coordinated community events, served as liaison to other agencies and partner organizations. Managed the employment and training program for compliance and fiscal responsibility including how and when funds were spent, monitores and reviewed case files, reviewed each file for eligibility for funding and determined which funding is to be used. Made presentations and conducted training for staff and the public. Served as the Disability Resource Coordinator, Rapid Response Coordinator, and liaison for youth program contractor.
