Developed and led Tricon’s sustainable products business across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, establishing a new trading platform for recycled polymers, biofuels, feedstocks, and chemicals. Structured and executed transactions end-to-end — from origination and supplier onboarding to customer delivery — expanding Tricon’s global footprint and scaling volumes from zero to profitability within the first 18 months. • Originated and secured new material sources and suppliers to meet customer requirements and sustainability standards (ISCC+, RecyClass, EFSA/FDA, REACH, traceability, TfS, PCF, SFDR allignement, RecyClass, EFSA/FDA compliance, REACH and traceability). • Managed both buy- and sell-side operations, optimizing margins, credit limits, and supply stability through long-term contracts, distribution, and structured deals. • Developed practical solutions to comply with green financing covenants and sustainability reporting • Supported manufacturing customers in transitioning to sustainable materials through technical trials, lab testing, and product portfolio integration. • Implemented digital traceability and certification systems, accelerating market adoption and compliance. • Strengthened regional presence by recruiting local teams, building internal capabilities, and developing strategic partnerships and distribution networks across Europe and Africa.
Led Texon Group’s Purchasing function across 7 global production sites (UK, Italy, Germany, China, Vietnam), responsible for the total direct spend in 9 categories (Polymers, Latex, Fibers, Paper, Yarns, Chemicals, Packaging, Energy, Logistics) across the group. • Built and managed high-performing local and regional purchasing teams; secured critical material supply during COVID/post-COVID disruptions, executed CAPEX projects in Europe and SE Asia, and consistently achieved cost savings and optimized spend. • Drove strategic procurement planning, category management, supplier management, and compliance (RSL, REACH, SRM), ensuring traceability and periodic supplier audits (skin-contact, footwear, textile). • Championed sustainability and innovation, introducing new materials, building a compliant supply base, and implementing global certifications: Higg Index, GRS, FSC, ISCC+, PCF, DPP. • Delivered M&A integration synergies post-acquisition by Coats plc (2022), harmonizing processes and eliminating duplication across procurement functions to achieve COGS and SG&A cost savings. • Negotiated contracts, pricing models, and credit structures; coached suppliers to meet compliance standards; improved supplier relationships through vendor scoring, development programs, and performance reviews. • Digitalization of procurement processes (ERP, SRM, traceability) to support efficiency and transparency. • Troubleshooting and stakeholder management.
