A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College (BA) with First Class Honours, the University of Oxford and the University of Edinburgh (MSc), I've gravitated towards the English Language as well as the Liberal Arts. For the last eight years, I've worked in the private education consultancy sector, primarily advising students on their written applications to US and UK universities. I have also completed the UCLA College Counselling Certificate (with Distinction), co-authored 'Uni in the USA & Beyond' alongside Anthony Nemecek, become a part-time school counsellor for an independent UK school, begun writing educational content for Outlier.org, and founded myguided, a new college preparation app, with Bob Patterson due to be launched 2024. I am also a published translator, collaboratively, with two short stories “Sur L’Eau” and “La Peur” by Guy de Maupassant being featured in Sandra Smith’s The Necklace and Other Stories: Maupassant for Modern Times (2015), and independently, with her translation of “Salut” by Stéphane Mallarmé published in the Edinburgh magazine Far Off Places in Spring/Summer 2016.
As a graduate of the UCLA College Counselling program and a member of IACAC, I advise students on their college journey, from college selection to application submission to admissions essays. I also support students through the written elements of their university applications. Beyond this, I have begun to develop myguided, an app to support students in preparing for college. I’ve spoken at the Fulbright Uni in the USA Conference, conducted general US admissions talks with students and schools in London & Moscow, and co-authored Uni in the USA & beyond alongside Anthony Nemecek, published by the Good Schools Guide 2019.
