Coordinates and oversees the inter-organizational development and publication of California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment, including a portfolio of original climate research, regional and statewide reports, a tribal research program and new data resources and tools, all informed by a robust community and expert engagement process. These resources will help improve understanding of future climate risk in California, and explore actionable pathways to advance resilience at scale.
Leads the Fifth Assessment Regional and Topical Synthesis Reports development process to uplift key findings throughout the Fifth Climate Change Assessment's various research efforts and produce statewide and locally-relevant products that inspire transformative action. Key to informing this is robust engagement with diverse communities, including State and Federal agencies, local government, tribal communities, scientists, research institutions, businesses, non-profit organizations and many others. Coordinates interagency partnerships to implement the Fifth Climate Change Assessment and other statewide policy issues. Represents OPR on water policy issues, planning and interagency coordination. Acting program manager since February 2024.
Led and facilitated strategic collaborations and funding processes with government leaders, grant program managers, technical experts and partners on statewide climate policy, project development and funding program management. Design project monitoring protocols for the development of an agency-wide system to evaluate the effectiveness of state investments to conserve, restore, and manage California's natural systems and foster resilience to climate change.
Conducted interagency coordination on statewide climate change policy issues and drafted policy, including the State Climate Change Adaptation Strategy 2018 Update, and California’s Fourth Climate Change Assessment. Lead project manager for the AB2800 Climate-Safe Infrastructure Working Group.
Organized speaker series on social justice, international climate policy, California renewable energy policy, and other environmental issues.
