After seven years in Hospitality Management in Cedar Fair resorts, I decided to try my hand at Dispatching. I started out part time at Williams County Central Communications for three months before accepting a full time position with the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office. After a year and a half there, I knew Sandusky was where I wanted to be... and I finished out four years at the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. I recently went back to Defiance County for personal reasons. I have been through APCO certification twice, and am currently certified in both CPR and Emergency Medical Dispatch. Additionally, I am a Communications Training Officer, with certifications from both APCO and NENA.
