I obtained my B.S. and M.S. degrees in Zoology at the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Mosul (UM), Iraq; Post-Graduate Diploma and PhD in Entomology at the Department of Zoology and Entomology, University of Queensland, Australia. Relocating in 2001 to the University of Hawaii (UH) for post-doc position at the Department of Plant & Environmental Protection Sciences (PEPS), College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR) I was engaged in IPM research program. Since April 2004 I have served at the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management (NREM, CTAHR, UH), as the Principle Investigator, Co-Investigator and Manager of several international agricultural higher education partnerships. Since 10 April 2012 accepted the job of Executive Officer for the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and Research) at the Central Queensland University Australia. Since 1 September 2013 my responsibilities include building partnerships with universities abroad and assisting teaching and administrative staff of the Duhok Polytechnic University (DPU) to comprehend their full potential and to become the driving force for sustainable development. Also, responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive program of support for all instructional staff across a broad spectrum of professional activities including: 1. Enhancing excellence in teaching.2. Increasing the effective use of technology in teaching. 3. Promoting scholarly research and creative activities. 4. Seeking a balance between institutional, teaching staff, and student goals and needs. Supplementing professional with service activities.
