I am a Seattle-native with a passion for sustainable planning and development. At the University of California, Davis, I completed a B.S. in Community and Regional Development with a duo-emphasis in Planning Policy and Global Communities; simultaneously, I completed a Minor in Spanish. My experience and coursework focus on sustainable development strategies, environmental policy, community development and urban design. Some of my most notable core skills and professional experiences involve research, writing/editing technical reports, project management and data analysis.

Act as an intermediary between wireless developers, owners of real estate, public agencies and other stakeholders (eg. utility providers, engineers, construction teams and public representatives). This position required engagement in every step of site development from its conception to construction completion. Briefly, tasks involved site scoping, lease review, policy analysis, processing entitlements, obtaining permits, enlisting contractors and coordinating construction. Primary Responsibilities: - Prepared, submitted and obtained zoning and building permits, land use entitlements and jurisdictional approval documents. - Mediated between jurisdictional departments (e.g. Community Development, Public Works), service providers (PG&E, SMUD, etc.) and private development enterprises. - Completed zoning ordinance and public policy reviews. - Analyzed drawings of development projects and related jurisdictional literature. - Reviewed land use zoning, construction drawings and supplemental documents for compliance with jurisdictional standards and client requirements. - Spoke at Commission hearings to obtain jurisdictional approval of project proposals. - Assessed and approved environmental reviews and documents from sub-contracted engineering firms. - Assisted jurisdictions to develop new public policies and formulated new procedures related to wireless infrastructure development.
Administration of all aspects of the zoning & permitting process flow related to client sites; prepare and submit applications and documentation to public agencies; manage zoning & permitting documents and produce corresponding due-diligence reports; navigate Geographic Information System (GIS) maps and jurisdictional websites; create and update database systems to support and inform clients on project status; create, maintain and distribute zoning & permitting department reports. As an Intern for Alchemist CDC, I assisted in the "Pansy Ave Pocket Park" and "Green Alleyways" projects that were part of the several vacant lot and alleyway development efforts associated with Alchemist CDC. The Pansy Ave Pocket Park project aimed to install a pocket park and community garden in place of a vacant lot in the neighborhood of Oak Park, Sacramento. The Green Alleyways project focused on making practical use of blighted alleyways in low-income neighborhoods throughout Sacramento. My role involved land acquisition coordination, , development policy research and participating in public outreach. My primary duties included: - Conducted pre-design policy and site research - Acquired permits for development projects as needed (e.g. ROW, CUP) - Conducted public outreach and community surveying efforts - Created project design proposals - Established potential funding sources for future programming and maintenance - Identified and recruited professional businesses willing to contribute pro-bono services or goods - Scheduled events while coordinating and directing volunteers (e.g. groundbreaking ceremony, vacant lot clean up events)
As part of a short-term contract, I created "Development Fee Calculators" that estimated the development fees associated with any given development project within City limits. I created a calculator for the Planning Division, Building Division, Engineering Division, Public Works Division and the Fire Department. Some of my other duties included: - Assisting with updating the City’s Zoning Code (e.g. Interim Zoning Ordinance) - Conducting stakeholder interviews and attending staff meetings - Creating graphics and summarizing information presented within the General Plan and related EIR for public view - Conducting research tasks on a variety of topics (e.g. demographic trends, economic development opportunities, etc.)
