As a second year medical student, I see medicine not just as treating the body, but as addressing the systems in which our bodies reside—using clinical care and policy to empower patients and create sustainable, equitable care. My commitment to this mission began with founding A Little Something and Med-ucate by SPARK in high school, initiatives that have provided essential resources and healthcare education to underserved populations in Liberia, Ukraine, and Hong Kong. Locally, I serve as Vice President of the Interprofessional Community Clinic (ICC) in Lake County, where I spearhead 38 professional panels to advance community engagement initiatives for uninsured residents. My work is grounded in a strong commitment to maternal and children’s health and to building community-driven strategies that address persistent health inequities.
Direct OB/GYN community outreach events for Lake County residents, facilitating access to preventative screenings and advocacy resources.
As Vice President, I oversee 38 patient panels for the Interprofessional Community Clinic (ICC), a student-run, pro bono clinic serving uninsured patients in Lake County. I lead more than 400 interprofessional volunteers and coordinate clinic flow across primary care and specialty services, including pelvic health and behavioral health. By streamlining care coordination and interpreter services, I ensure seamless specialty integration and improved patient access in a high-volume clinical setting.
