I am a health promotion professional and adult educator with over 10 years’ experience in reproductive and sexual health, and a strong foundation in the disability sector. I’m passionate about advancing health equity, delivering inclusive and accessible service delivery, and advocating for the rights of people with intellectual disability. Recognised as a sector leader and advocate, I bring a collaborative, action-focused approach to driving change. With proven strengths in project management and people leadership, I empower teams to co-design impactful initiatives and lead with purpose. Currently completing my MBA, I’m deepening my strategic and systems-thinking skills to lead for greater social impact.
I manage the overall operations of all Family Planning NSW health promotion services across NSW, including oversight of the design, implementation and evaluation of health promotion programs and projects. I ensure the effective management of workforce, productivity, budget, quality control and work health and safety measures. I lead the delivery of health promotion services with a focus on business development, management systems, processes, continuous quality improvement, risk management and best practices.
I lead Family Planning NSW’s work in promoting the reproductive and sexual health of people with disability. This includes community education, resource development and systemic advocacy.
I design, deliver and evaluate high quality education projects to address the reproductive and sexual health needs of people with intellectual disability. I focus on training to disability service providers, health workers, teachers and parents of people with intellectual disability in the areas of sexuality and relationships, reproductive and sexual health. This includes Nationally Recognised Training and Board of Studies endorsed training.
I supported, lead, motivated and manage a team of 12 community support workers within a Day Program to ensure overall team productivity and harmony. I coordinated day-to-day operations and program planning , including staff rostering, supervising service delivery, monitoring expenditure and compliance with legislation, standards, contractual requirements and internal policy
As Assistant Manager (Operations) I supported, lead and motivated a team of 15 program and administrative staff and volunteers to deliver a quality living skills training and community based activities to people living with mental illness and intellectual disability in a Day Program setting. Key responsibilities included: • Developing, and assisting staff to develop, project documentation and resources for educational and training programs, including project plans, evaluation tools and learning materials. • Oversighting the implementation and evaluation of all programs to ensure high standards of quality and compliance with allocated budget, contracts, legislation and policy. • Coordinating staff recruitment, induction and training in conjunction with the SVDP Human Resources department. • Providing regular supervision and mentoring to staff, including conducting annual staff performance evaluations.
I supported a team of 10 program staff and volunteers to deliver quality living skills training and community based activities to people living with mental illness and intellectual disability in a Day Program setting. Responsibilities included • Providing guidance and policy advice to program staff on operational and client support matters. • Oversighting government funded programs to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, contractual requirements and internal policy, including submitting MDS reports and annual acquittals.
I supported people living with mental illness and intellectual disability to learn social and living skills and work towards their life goals within a Day Program setting. Responsibilities included: • Working with clients to develop Person Centred Plans, in conjunction with family and other support people. • Support clients to achieve their social and life goals in both 1:1 and group settings in both centre and community based social activities. • Leading a team of volunteers facilitating the delivery of social activities, living skills education and prevocational training. • Developing, monitoring and assessing living skills education programs.
