Serve as Chief of Staff (COS) for the Deputy Commanding General for Mobilization (DCG-MOB), Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI), Fort McCoy, WI. Serve as Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS), 88th Readiness Division for mobilization support (MFGI). Assist DoD, Service and Joint Forces in developing policies and procedures required to activate and inactivate RC personnel under crisis response and/or contingency conditions. The roles and tasks include reviewing and updating requirements, determining sources of immediate manpower augmentation; develop and review mobilizations plans, policies and procedures; review best practices and lessons learned from previous mobilizations; monitoring the mobilization process; and monitoring assignments against requirements. THE DCoS, under guidance from the Deputy Commanding General - Mobilization (DCG MOB) will consider the impact of mobilization activities in the environment as well as the requirements of legal authorities and funding to enable the timely execution of mobilization activities. The DCoS will anticipate and plan for the impact of additional facilities, training land and range usage resulting from the influx of personnel and increased operating tempo. The DCoS is responsible for coordination with 1A, IMCOM, USARC, FORSCOM, and other DA and DOD organizations. Additional Duty as MFGI Representative on the Army Lessons Learned Forum, Council of Colonels (ALLF COC) for Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL) TRADOC. Retired in January 2021 with over 33 years of service in the Army Reserve and Army National Guard, beginning as a private and retiring as a full colonel with over 15 years full-time service.
Colonel (COL)/O-6 commander. Provide daily oversight of the MFGI (Mobilization Force Generation Installation) Enterprise during the mobilization of the 228 Combat Support Hospital (CSH) in 3QFY20. Coordinate all efforts providing the needed support to the 228 CSH that proved vtial to the 228th CSH's success while mobilizing in a COVID-19 operational environment. This was the largest single mobilization for the Army Reserve during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the largest mobilzation exercise for MFGI since 2010. Serve as primary Point of Contact (POC) for several key, recurring synchronization events such as the FORSCOM Mobilization Readiness and Movement (RM) SVTC (secret video teleconference), the First Army Mobilization Synchronization Board (IA MSB) and weekly DCG-Mob update briefs. Maintaining situational awareness helped maintain a Common Operational Picture (COP) for the entire MFGI Enterprise, from the DCG-Mob on down to the assigned NCOs. In absence of the 181 Multi-Functional Training Brigade (MFTB) action Officers, serve as the FMWI lead during First Army Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI) Expansion Briefings thereby keeping First Army informed of FMWI MFGI issues and concerns. Facilitate the coordination of critical support efforts involving units from First Army, INCOM, and other FMWI tenant units and organizations to include FORSCOM, AMC, TRANSCOM, SDDC, AR-NORTH, USARC, NGB, NORTHCOM, MEDCOM, and CENTCOM.
