Chartered Engineer experienced in civil and structural engineering design focused on the rail industry.
My current role involves producing civil and structural designs and managing a variety of rail infrastructure projects. The projects have included large train stations, re-signalling projects, level crossing design, depots, lineside renewals and new track provision. I work closely with Network Rail, other consultants and contractors on a daily basis.
I have been the Principal Engineer on a number of large projects in a variety of sectors. The sectors include buildings, rail, maritime and bridges. My experience includes the principal structural design of housing developments, large retail centres, sports complexes and large rail stations. Also experienced in bridge design and inspection. Many of my projects have included a project management role within them. I am fully trained and conversant with Eurocodes.
Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician. Working in various sectors including space, defence, maritime, military, nuclear and construction. Using a variety of NDT techniques including radiographic and MPI.
Offshore NDT technician in the oil and gas industry. Using rope access skills to perform detailed structural inspections on offshore structures. Self Employed - working with company on multiple short-term contracts.
