Researcher for the DARPA Ground Truth Project at the University of Chicago Knowledge Lab. Took lead on using Machine Learning techniques in analyzing causal relations in simulated disaster data. Some examples of the analytical tools that I have researched and implemented are: - Shapely Regression (using the SHAP package: https://github.com/slundberg/shap) - Deconfounders (implementing theory laid out in "The Blessings of Multiple Causes": https://arxiv.org/abs/1805.06826) - Stochastic Modeling
- Provided operational support by developing three data pipelines using Python, SQL, and R Shiny dashboards to automate existing web scraping, database querying and data visualization workflows. - Conducted geospatial and temporal analytical research on flu cycles across US under the supervision of a senior data scientist. The research modeled forecasts for restocking needs in pharmacies.
