Eduardo de la Garza has over 35 years of experience in Human Resources in various companies leading organizations through transformation and change. In his most recent role as Chief People Officer of Walmart International, Eduardo oversaw the Human Resources strategy for an operation with presence in 18 countries, comprising more than 500,000 associates operating over 5,300 stores and clubs around the world. Eduardo has driven the cultural transformation of Walmart, accelerating the business strategy and ensuring the best experience for associates building the best place to be, grow and belong. Previously, he served as Chief People Officer at Walmart Mexico and Central America, and he was responsible for designing and executing the Human Resources strategy for more than 230,000 associates in 6 countries. He led the company's transformation from an agile perspective and was part of the Board of Directors of the Walmart Foundation. Before joining Walmart, Eduardo was the CHRO for PepsiCo Mexico and an active member of the Leadership and Transformation Council of PepsiCo LATAM, focusing on organizational development strategy, culture, and talent management. During his tenure, he led significant transformations such as the integration of Gamesa and Sabritas. Eduardo has received several recognitions, such as Top 10 CHRO (Executive World) and HR (AMEDIRH). He has also participated as a speaker at national and international forums, including the World HR Forum ERIAC, Marcus Evans Latin Summit, and AMEDIRH. Eduardo is a member of NAHRMA (North America Human Resources Management Association), where he served as president from 2018 to 2020. He was also president of AMEDIRH (Mexican Association of Human Resources Management) from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, he is an active member of the Talent and Culture Board at TEC de Monterrey and has served on the boards of companies such as Naranya, Endeavour, and Intelexion. He is currently a board member of Grupo BOCAR, Grupo AlEn and GPV. Born in Mexico, Eduardo is an Industrial Engineer from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, where he also completed his master's degree with a focus on Human Resources and Productivity.
