Eduardo Ruas is a Brazilian architect and urban planner with a foundation in cultural geography and a mission to challenge colonial approaches to historic preservation. Early in his career, Eduardo focused on analyzing landscapes through a social lens, publishing articles, and presenting lectures in Brazil and internationally. He co-founded Side B with Taylor Kabeary to blend academic research and activism, addressing social issues in historic preservation, urban spaces, and design. Three years ago, Eduardo transitioned into marketing and community management to explore a new facet of his creativity. In this role, he has hosted over 200 webinars, grown a thriving community of 15,000 to 35,000 members, managed seven large-scale Revenue Excellence Summits, and collaborated with over 35 partner companies to create compelling content.
In my role, I develop and execute marketing plans for a diverse range of events, from digital conferences and webinars to executive dinners and large in-person summits. I create event themes across multiple channels, curate trending content, and build compelling speaker lineups to engage attendees. Working closely with sponsor sales, I ensure programs meet sponsor goals and maximize ROI, while collaborating with operations to manage logistics and event execution. I lead a copywriter to produce promotional content that drives registrations, oversee budgets, track campaign effectiveness, and manage technology platforms essential for successful marketing and sponsor engagement.
