I am a former law professor & clerked in the SDNY for the Hon. Kevin Nathaniel Fox. My degrees include: LL.M. in Corporate, Banking & Finance Law (cum laude - 90th+ percentile) from Fordham; JD (magna cum laude - 85th percentile) from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law; & BA from the College of Wooster (dept honors). As a law student, I co-authored & edited Respondent's merits brief in the US Supreme Court matter of City of Cuyahoga Falls v. Buckeye Community Hope Found. & an amicus brief in the copyright matter Eldred v. Ashcroft. As a practitioner, I was involved in two SCOTUS cases recently -- Stone v. Bear Stearns (arbitration) & Campbell-Postingle v. Kovacic (4th Am). I have authored published articles analyzing various business law issues & served as a member of the Public Investor Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA) Bar Journal Board of Editors & co-editor of the New York State Bar Assoc. Securities Litigation and Arbitration website. I am a former editor-in-chief of a specialty law journal & a nationally-ranked law school newspaper. My scholarly work includes textbook chapters, law review articles, columns & legal blogs, some of which have been cited by such notables as former SEC Enforcement Director Linda Chatman-Thomsen, Chilean Ministry of Finance, Greek Nat'l Bank, Levy Economics Institute of Bard College & RAND Institute in its seminal Broker-Dealer and Investment Adviser regulation report commissioned by the SEC. My writing was also cited recently by the SEC & a US District Court. I have commented frequently about a host of business law topics for various media outlets, including ABC News, CNN, Dow Jones Newswire, Bloomberg, MarketWatch, Law 360 & Wall Street Journal. I am a former supervising attorney for John Jay Legal Services, a faculty advisor & coach of Pace Law's Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon Team (2011 Natl Champs), a frequent blogger w/a co-authored article “The Make Believe of Janus,” named among the “Best of NYSBA” for 2011.
