About

I am a Uveitis Specialist and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Stein Eye Institute, David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I earned my MD from Dartmouth Medical School and completed a surgical internship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, followed by an Ophthalmology residency at New York University, where I was elected Chief Administrative Resident. Afterwards, I completed a fellowship in Uveitis and Ocular Inflammatory Diseases at the Francis I. Proctor Foundation/UCSF. I then joined faculty at the UCLA Stein Eye Institute as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology in the Uveitis Service. My research interests focuses on utilizing state of the art ophthalmic imaging technology to improve the diagnosis and monitoring of uveitis. I am also actively involved in industry and NIH-funded clinical trials investigating new therapeutics for treatment of uveitis and ocular inflammatory diseases. I have multiple grants including funding from the NIH to study imaging and therapeutics in uveitis. I have over 150 peer-reviewed publications and have given talks in national and international meetings.
