I am a senior journalism and history student at the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill School of Journalism. I have a strong interest in public and legislative affairs, communications and policy research, and I would like to pursue any possible opportunities in these fields within the federal, state and local government and private sectors.
-Building and maintaining a state/local legislation and a federal action tracker on Monday.com for 250+ unique pieces of legislation and actions across 35+ states to help guide DBIA’s internal advocacy strategy on the state and federal levels -Producing design-build industry pieces that involve interviewing DBIA partners to spotlight their accomplishments and design-build best practices for pieces that are featured on the DBIA website's blog -Creating and researching legislative summaries and materials to support the efforts of DBIA’s state/local affairs team during legislative sessions taking place nationwide -Assisted in the creation of social media content and the general execution of the 2025 Federal Industry Days Conference
-Maintaining the armory facilities, while serving as a representative for Recwell’s Intramurals program -Coordinating special events held by university and non-university parties as a part of the Armory’s special events staff
-Organizing necessary equipment before, during, and after games -Accounting for intramural athletes taking part in flag football, soccer, volleyball and basketball -Acting as a scorekeeper for intramural basketball
-Engaging with Capital News Service’s website and social media platforms across LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit and more to create content that highlights the work of Capital News Service’s three bureaus -Monitoring Capital News Service metrics and social media feeds pertinent to Marylanders to identify topics of interest for a Capital News Service audience
-Supported live video feed and production for 30+ events C-Span covered on Capitol Hill and any other locations where events relevant to C-SPAN’s general coverage of the American political sphere took place -Collaborated in troubleshooting and general efforts when setting up and taking down broadcast cameras and other equipment needed throughout the process of live events going on the air
-Selective program with a fall seminar taught by an expert professional on how to engage and advocate in political bodies and elections across the political spectrum -Class was concurrent with fellows-led programming that culminated in a spring internship
