I have skillsets such as business management, driving new businesses, merger/acquisition, managing customer relationships, project evaluation & management, strategic & budget planning, marketing and sales, effective negotiation skills, and a solid finance background. These experiences have not only given me the necessary exposure but also the core foundational skills and deep industry understanding to build international teams and strong client bases in global markets. These skills have allowed me to execute forward-looking ideas and achieve holistic long-term successes in a competitive global marketplace. I have worked in various industries and markets such as industrial manufacturing, automotive, commercial aerospace and with the most recent one being renewable energy. Where difficult business ventures have arisen, the accumulation of all my past experience has made it possible for me to maneuver the challenges and ensure new markets thrive. Prior to my many years of work experience in the U.S. and China, I lived in Hong Kong and Australia. I obtained my Bachelor of Business Administration (International Business) from the Queensland University of Technology in Australia and obtained my MBA from Wright State University in the U.S. in 1999. • Cross-functional advisory leadership responsibility for all six business units of Crane A&E in China, directing multiple sales, marketing and engineering support projects involving airframe OEMs, major airlines, regulatory bodies and in-region Tier 1/2 primes. • Opened up and established Crane A&E as the leading brand in China for a number of major commercial aircraft systems, winning OEM and aftermarket accounts with a program value of over $800 million associated with C919- the largest individual platform revenue in Crane A&E history. • Launch new strategic partnership with local companies in non-compete, supplementary system bundle agreements to win in major adjacent opportunities worth over $200 million. • Developed relationships and attained trusted advisor status with highest management levels within COMAC, AVIC, CAAC, local government sector and a number of major national airlines in the region. • Build strategic customer onsite liaison team for executing across 3 major aircraft system packages (brake control, proximity sensing, electrical power and cabin) receiving multiple customer service and supplier performance awards. • Developed innovative new marketing strategy and helped grow the cabin interior division, taking business unit from zero to over 65% market share position in 3 years. • Leverage extensive network to open new adjacent business in the high-speed train premium seat segment, winning key national accounts (the only western system supplier awarded for the program). • Spearheaded Crane A&E move into new Russian market, establishing collaboration with local Tier 1 WTBS Company for the next COMAC wide-body aircraft program C929.
• Successfully led companywide endeavor focused on business development to drive cross-functional front end approach for all 4 individual business segments resulting a 22% in total revenue increase to $110 million. • Identified the push market segments, launched clear marketing and sales plans including account management strategies, tools to analyze sales / market resulting a 50% sales growth in targeted applications. • Completed 4 due diligence pertaining to targets for acquisition including the development of relationships with potential targets. • Participated in the M&A project planned by the US headquarter. Executed a successful merger with the acquired company’s China JV operation in Wuxi. Accomplished the due diligence, negotiation, closure, integration, and new management formation in the new JV Company. • Managed the sale of the JV Company in 2010, which resulted to a favorable ROI for all investors. • Formulated actions to revive the Composite business unit front end strategic activities to deliver a 20% incremental sales over the legacy XPS product line in cold storage segment.
• Functioned as the principal representative of the U.S. side of the JV, managed relationship with Chinese JV partner and responsible for the overall success of the company’s strategic actions. • Managed relationship with the local government as the only U.S. foreign invested company in the region. • Transformed daily operation of the business including procurement, manufacturing and sales. Acted as a compliance leader, safety coach, and business consultant. • Supervised the corporate consolidation and reporting of actual operating performance against approved plan to corporate and business unit management. • Established a scalable and efficient sales and purchasing systems, including an ERP system, and a Manufacturer management system to increase labor productivity by 35%. • Rebuilt the manufacturing capability and led the product certification, product transfer, and contracting of the largest LTA projects (Grainger and Aquascape) in company history. • Implemented KPI, Kanban, Kaizen activities across the business, eliminating legacy business systems and greatly improving operation performance by over 60% as well as managerial information transparency.
• Provided reports, presentations and ad-hoc analysis including annual operating plan budgets, monthly cash forecasts, inventory analysis and profitability forecasts. • Assessed Risk and Opportunities for functional organizations and Program Management on multiple programs in order to help maximize company margins/profits • Responsible for providing recommendations on short and long-range ROI for all new capital investment. • Participated and supported in the Joint Venture negotiation between the company and the Chinese partner. • Coordinated with all levels of personnel to execute the implementation of the US GAAP reporting at the JV site. • Supervised the JV site for its compliance with The Sarbanes-Oxley Act and financial audits from non-compliance to full compliance in 6 months.
• Rebuilt manufacturing cost system for all product lines and developed standardized procurement procedures to reduce 15% in inventory reduction. • Introduced a computerized accounting system to replace the manual system resulting an 80% reduction in financial closing time, and received approval from the company’s independent auditing firm. • Planned and reported foreign exchange hedging instruments to lower company’s transactions exposure. • Responsible for preparing the P&L statement.
