Since the beginning of 2019, I am working as the Regional Procurement Manager in South Asia, leading a 5 members team, and travelling around Pakistan, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan. My responsibility is to fulfill the direct purchase requirement and in-direct purchase requirement in these countries, especially for network construction projects, IDC projects, as well as MRO parts and CAPEX for subsidiary operation. Main categories involve structural parts, IT software and hardware, engineering materials, OEM management, etc. I successfully coordinated stakeholders to establish the local material inventory management system and benchmark price database in South Asia. In addition, I act as a core member of ECC team, who is responsible for the regional procurement compliance and ensure the entire process will comply with ECC request.
From 2017 to 2018, I worked as Procurement Manager in Johannesburg, South Afica, responsible for end-to-end procurement for all project requirements and operation requirements. Main purchase categories include structures, IT software and hardware, equipments, engineering installation materials, etc. By devising suitable procurement strategy and consolidating supplier resources with sustainable and strategic partnership (one category 1-2 key suppliers), long-term agreements with key suppliers in South Africa were finally established , and I easily achieved the yearly cost down target and saved xx million USD for subsidiary.
During the second half of 2016, my job was an Assistant Procurement Manager. My responsibility was to coordinate with S&OP and the Planning Departments to manage new requirements, and ensure to issue orders on time and monitor and track the delivery progress for overseas projects. In the meantime, I assisted the Strategic Procurement Manager to follow up on material market price trends, tax rate changes, and exchange rate changes, and drafted monthly raw material price report.
