Earl King has failed at everything, he failed at a medical degree but came back swinging with a BA which he affably translates into a bachelors of anonymity, he has failed at work but somehow survived over a decade in corporate South Africa- how much this says about corporate South Africa or of work in general is debatable, he has failed at relationships but is married to the most wonderful woman on God’s green earth, he has failed at life in many quarters but for a reason only the God’s can attest to, has successfully spawned four of the most amazing children on the planet, he has failed at being an entrepreneur and yet he lives to create meaning outside of formal employment, his failures are as much a part of who he is, as is his desire and determination to inspire. Earl is a seasoned Human Resources leader with extensive years of comprehensive experience specifically captive and BPO environments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in integrated organizational communication research- a strong educational foundation with a Grade 12 certificate. Earl has developed a rich skill set throughout his career, emphasizing human resources leadership, team management, HR transformation, employer branding, recruitment, and employee engagement. Currently, Earl serves as a Regional People Partner at Heineken Beverages South Africa in Stellenbosch, Cape Town where he collaborates closely to develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization’s goals by driving the people agenda and delivering excellent service all with the overall impact of enabling teams and impacting bottom line performance and growth through people. Prior to his current role, Earl served as the Head of Business Partners at CCI Global in Cape Town, where he oversees HR operations for call centers in Cape Town and Durban, extending his expertise into Africa. His role involves managing a team of five HR Business Partners and driving strategic HR initiatives across the organization. Previously, Earl was a Senior Human Capital Business Partner International at CCI Global, focusing on the US Travel & Tourism sector. In this capacity, he provided strategic advice to senior leadership teams, coached managers, and managed organizational design and performance development. Earl’s career has also seen him excel as the Head of Operations for Financial Services & Insurance in Durban, ensuring the successful delivery of operational targets and fostering client relationships. His expertise has been instrumental in financial management, process optimization, and capability building within his teams.
