About

I've been working in technology since the mid 80's (I started very young) and have been focused on cybersecurity since the late 90's. While grounded in (and wired for) hands-on engineering and direct problem-solving, my career has taken on many facets, including leading, selling, teaching and public speaking. The common thread is that I'm able to understand (and learn from) the many people I get to interact with (clients, colleagues, students, vendors, etc.), relate to their varied needs and drivers, and leverage my perspective to find ways to help, even when that's simply by listening. In general, I try to use my passion, collective experience, creative thinking, and empathetic understanding of issues to solve and advocate for effective cybersecurity.
