I am a 3rd year Biochemistry student at the University of Guelph with a strong interest in the biological processes of cells as well as the research that goes along with finding out the molecular processes of life. The learning in labs is a very big focus of mine and take a real interest in a future that would allow me to apply my skills in a lab and use my communication skills in a team setting. I have lead hockey camps with 40+ kids on the ice as my summer job for many years demonstrating and teaching me leadership and teamwork skills as well as played high level hockey for many years.
Conducted independent audits at hospitals and surgical centres across Canada to verify cataract lens inventory accuracy, supporting compliance and supply chain integrity. Managed and optimized wet lab facilities used for national sales representative training, enhancing organization and operational efficiency. Supported the Canadian Ophthalmology Society (COS) annual conference by setting up VR-based product demonstrations and engaging with ophthalmologists and sales professionals. Observed live cataract surgeries under Dr. Rosa Braga-Mele to gain firsthand insight into product use, clinical workflows, and surgeon decision-making. Led the transition of wet lab inventory from customer-accessible to internal-only use, strengthening asset control and standardizing processes.
Worked as a camp counsellor and hockey instructor leading on ice drills to improve kids skills as well as off ice games and activities to promote the kids skills in teamwork, discipline etc. Groups contained 4-5 instructors and 40+ kids in a week day camp with 2 ice sessions a day and off ice activities and workouts in between.
