For this coming summer of 2015 I'm very much interested in recruiting for the Canadian Reserves, as it is a big step towards something more challenging, exciting, and rewarding. In the summer of 2014 I worked as a greens keeper at BigWin Island Golf Course. The job included long hours of manual labour, cutting grass, seeding grass, working with customers, and maintaining general maintenance of the golf course. In my history of working, I have been able to fill up most of my time with a job of some sort. I'm always looking for a something hands on and interesting to do with my time. My past job experience includes working at a gas station in the summers of 2012-2013 working as a gas assistant. I pumped the gas and worked the cash register while also getting to do some hands on work with car repairs.
Responsible in the work place include. General house keeping of the work space. sweeping, vacuuming, ect. When not participating in house keeping activities, i will often be helping and or make products for orders that have come in from customers. This may include. - Going to customers houses and taking measurements for such things as railings, or banisters. Even just talking to the customer about what they are looking for in the product. - Measuring the material in the shop the length and then cutting all piece needed for the project. Making all piece and parts are up to spec before placing and welding the parts together. - Cleaning up the product and painting it for final touches and inspecting all aspects of it before installation. Once end product is acquired we will then deliver it to the customers house (and install it for them if required).
Greens Keeper, this job includes maintaining the grounds i.e. watering, seeding, cutting, and interactions with customers. This job was mentally challenging due to the extremely long hours of manual labour.
My jobs ranges from pumping gas for customers and helping them at the cash register, to selling other automotive products. Also occasionally helping with car repairs in spare time, or when asked.
