About

Management: As an Executive Director, and Program Director, I take on the responsibility of leading our team to success and reliably maintaining the portfolio. As General Manager at Credit Valley and the Housing Manager Early Years East Toronto, EYET as well as in Hamilton and Barrie I managed overall program budgets, including Salaries and Benefits as well as Direct Operating Expenditures. Experience in working with diverse communities: I was the chair of the Diversity Council in Toronto under the University Health Network and an active member of the Health Equity Council, and I also have training in International Human Rights. I’ve worked in a multitude of communities with various people from various backgrounds. Community Development: I have worked on Community initiatives all my adult life and have worked on extensive building projects for housing in areas around the GTA and was a Housing Manager within Toronto. I sat on the Simcoe County Board Committees to assist with ending homelessness through the provision of affordable housing. Continuous Quality Improvement: In my duties at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health my function was to provide and work on CQI principles and applied the principles to numerous projects that included service deployment, education, training, program initiatives, community engagement, and forensic operations. I have continually applied psychosocial rehabilitation principles and practices in the management of the services my staff and I offered at the Barrie Team and in numerous roles, I’ve enjoyed over the most recent years. My teams and I promote and participate in clinical research activities including working directly with Health Quality Ontario on research while in Barrie and Hamilton, Ontario. Education: I possess a post-secondary degree in Public Health as a Bachelor of Science in Mental Health care. I am a member in good standing of the Canadian College of Health Leaders since 2010 (member # 24673). I am also working on my master’s degree in Business Development and certification in LTC executive leadership.
