As Head of AI at RethinkFirst, I lead initiatives to transform our products and drive efficiency across our organization through the application of artificial intelligence. Previously, I served as Vice President of Product, overseeing the TotalTherapy and Rethink Behavioral Health product lines, helping to shape and grow key offerings within the RethinkFirst portfolio. Prior to RethinkFirst, I was the President and Co-founder of TotalABA, Inc., where I helped build a leading software solution for therapists and clinics in the behavioral health industry. As a co-founder, I was responsible for setting the company’s vision, building the leadership team, driving product strategy, and leading the organization through its growth and acquisition by RethinkFirst. Earlier in my career, I was Director of Customer Relations at Azalea Health, managing teams responsible for EHR and medical billing platform implementation and support. I spent over 15 years at LeonardoMD, Inc., gaining extensive experience in healthcare technology and business development. I earned my degree in Business Information Systems from San Diego State University. I live in Southern California with my wife and two children, and I'm passionate about creating technology that improves healthcare and supports those who need it most.
The Azalea Health mission is to improve patient care by providing the highest level of innovative technologies, solutions, and services to the healthcare community. The founders of Azalea Health, while working at a medical laboratory company, observed that most EHRs were clunky, and physicians had a hard time understanding how to use them. As a result they were determined to develop a solution that would simplify the life of physicians and administrators. They recognized the opportunity to build a healthcare IT solution that would be truly cloud-based and as simple to use as an email tool. Drawing on local university talent, they essentially created a technology incubator environment. The resulting cloud-based healthcare management and medical billing solution connects the clinical with the financial side of a practice and integrates easily with existing systems. The company has grown consistently and has proven its technology and its business model. Azalea Health was recognized by Inc. Magazine in their annual Inc. 500/5000 as one of the nation’s fastest growing private companies and was recognized as a top 40 innovator by TAG (Technology Association of Georgia).
