Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
I currently serve as the Director of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) at Target, where I lead our corporate ERM team. With 15 years of experience in various risk and compliance roles I’ve developed a strong background in identifying, managing and mitigating risks that impact organizational success. In addition to my role at Target, I serve as an Adjunct Professor of ERM at Mercyhurst University’s Walker Graduate School of Business and as a member of NC State’s ERM Advisory Board. I hold a BA in Political Science from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN and a Master’s in Compliance & Ethics (MSL), with an emphasis in risk management, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law.
Across multiple roles, experiences have included: Developing, implementing and managing compliance and risk procedures to ensure the compliant importation of goods. Creating and implementing risk assessment and regulatory/legislative monitoring processes. Actively facilitating cross-functional working groups with key internal stakeholders to enhance compliance and risk-related programs. Collaborating extensively with Target partner banks and finance teams to ensure the accurate and efficient processing of vendor payments and U.S. Customs duty. Managing a team of 6-10 direct reports.
