About

Eighteen years ago, I began my career as a traditional project manager and civil engineer, managing highway and roadway projects across Maryland and Virginia. Over the years, I evolved from designing alignments and managing capital projects to becoming a problem-solver who integrates technology, data analytics, and innovative methods into civil engineering. My journey has taken me from creating and operating crosswalk and safety programs to building dashboards that translate traffic data into actionable insights. I'm always looking for smarter, more affordable solutions to persistent infrastructure challenges. Beyond technical skills, I’ve been deeply engaged in public policy, advocacy, and leadership within the infrastructure community, with a host of experience developing strategic and visionary documents for infrastructure investments. My efforts range from leading the Pedestrian Emphasis Area Team of the Statewide Maryland Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP), to organizing and mobilizing local government advisory groups in Bowie, MD from the ground up. I’ve worked at the intersection of engineering and public service—collaborating with elected officials, citizens, and agencies to implement policies that shape safer, more connected communities. Always with a focus on data-driven policy. My background is vast, spanning beyond the technical aspects of engineering and data analytics. It includes campaigning for city council, serving on nonprofit boards, and helping drive forward initiatives like Complete Streets policies and Arts & Entertainment District planning. These experiences sharpened my ability to think strategically, align diverse stakeholders, and push for innovation at the policy and project level. I'm a high-level thinker, with the ability to drill down into the most complicated technical discussions in the industry. Recently, I've founded Kuzan Analytics & Engineering Consulting, DBA Kuzan Analytics & Intelligence (KuzAI). Through this venture I’m taking a leap to go beyond conventional engineering, into the frontier of AI and automation for the AEC industry. What started as a focus on traffic safety and permitting has since evolved into building Agentic AI systems with blockchain-based memory. We're building systems to help architects, engineers, and contractors manage data, streamline workflows, and unlock intelligence at scale. Our mission is to usher the AEC industry into the era of adaptive intelligence, where engineering expertise is augmented by cutting-edge AI tools that learn, remember, and adapt to evolving needs.

  • CEO and Principal Engineer at Kuzan Analytics & Intelligence (KuzAI) - AI Division of Kuzan AEC
    Apr 2025 - Present · 1 yr 3 mos

Kuzan Analytics & Intelligence (KuzAI) is a Division of Kuzan Analytics & Engineering Consulting (AEC) that focuses on A.I. We are a licensed Professional Engineering firm in the state of VA, started in April 2025. The original focus of the company was on using AI tools to expedite civil engineering workflows. An innovative civil engineering firm that could exponentially enhance engineering productivity and efficiencies using the latest technologies in AI. We are now an "A.I. Interface" company working on solving the A.I. Alignment challenge using "Cognitive Interface Engineering (CIE)", the newest field of A.I. Perhaps the "missing link" in the field of A.I. today. KuzAI is positioning ourselves to be a market leader in the AEC industry on Agentic AI systems by focusing on the interface between the human engineer and the AI. Currently the company is working to build fully-functional AI systems augmented with trustless (blockchain-secured) memory protocols. This is one of the latest emerging technologies in AI, and it carries a hefty promise - Adaptive Intelligence. KuzAI seeks to lead intelligence of infrastructure projects of the future. Adaptive Intelligence has the ability to remember complex datasets via extremely efficient databases. The combination of Agentic AI and blockchain, significantly reduces AI error, and streamlines AI efficiencies, while enhancing data security while providing a pathway for democratizing institutionalized data. Adaptive Intelligence applications will allow engineers to have unprecedented data retrieval and analysis tools at their fingertips. Such tools will streamline a large majority of processes that exist in the industry today. Human manpower, can be transferred to human brainpower. KuzAI's mission is to streamline monotonous and time consuming exercises of retrieving, analyzing and reporting project information, thus allowing the engineer to engineer, and the planner to plan.
