Dustin's technical experience has generally focused on water, wastewater and stormwater systems with an emphasis on planning, design and condition assessments. Dustin has had the opportunity to support and solve complex problems ranging from large municipal clients to small rural communities across the nation and brings value to his clients through the understanding of how to effectively identify solutions from past experiences or opportunities for innovation . Dustin has served in various roles and responsibilities including Director of Program Planning for large Consent Decree Programs, Project Management and Technical Director on Multiple Master Plans, Public and Private Source I/I Reduction Programs and a variety of System Assessments. Dustin continues to advance solutions in the water and wastewater industry through his experience with asset management and CMOM program reviews and developments and his ambitions for implementing digital water solutions by leveraging data to drive decision making. Dustin is proficient and provides technical leadership across a variety of hydraulic modeling software platforms including Innovyze, Bentley and Pizer Hydraulic Modeling softwares ( InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, XPSWMM, SWMM5, SewerGEMS, WaterGEMS, InfoWater, EPANET, Hydra), GIS Solutions ( ArcDesktop, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, Dashboards), Asset Management Solutions, and is proficient in Civil3D and AutoCAD.
Working as a Senior Civil Engineer on a large scale watershed management program to help mitigate CSO/CSSO impacts on local watersheds. Responsibilities include project management and design of a multitude of sewer rehabilitation and design projects for St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District. Project work includes a diverse collection of sewer rehabilitation and design including: sewer separation design, sanitary relief sewer design, in line and off-line sanitary storage design, storm sewer system design, and private and public inflow and infiltration removal.
Formulated Inflow and Infiltration Assessment reports for a multi-year multi million dollar project. Sanitary sewer analysis including defect flow quantification, hydrograph analysis, rehabilitation alternatives with cost curve integration and the development of detailed GIS mapping utilizing an enterprise geodatabase. Field management responsibilities consisted of the planning, coordination and progress reporting of smoke testing, manhole inspections and dye tracing crews.
Responsible for the design of residential decentralized waste water treatment and distribution system designs for flows up to 3,000 GPD that met all state and local code requirements. Constructed numerous plan sheets on residential site development plans including storm sewer collection/detention design. Formulated wastewater reports for newly developed subdivisions.
