I work with the Subsurface Computing Support team that supports all aspects of the high-end technical workstations used by exploration and production teams to run various geological and geophysical applications, including Petrel, Petra, Paradigm, among many others. I support the hardware and software on both Windows 7 and RedHat Linux workstations. As part of that support, I have installed new hardware, including HP blades and blade enclosures, workstations, monitors, and plotters. I am responsible for imaging and setting up systems for new users, and ensuring that their hardware specifications match their job requirements. As a part of that process, I am also in charge of maintaining the hardware assignments and inventory.
