I have over 26 years of experience in the electrical field. During this time, I have worked as an Electrician's Mate in the US Navy, Marine Electrician, and an Electrical Field Engineer. Currently, I utilize my vast electrical knowledge base as a Electrical Field Engineer in the power generation field. I have several areas of electrical experience that include excitation systems, load commutated inverter systems, diesel generators, stator rewinds, field rewinds, variable frequency drives, electrical distribution systems, protection panels, protection relays, analog electrical devices, relays, transmitters, limit switches, low and medium voltage switchgear, power electronics, and transformers. Furthermore, I have experience with using miscellaneous electrical monitoring and testing equipment such as digital multimeter, ammeter, phase rotation meter, resistance decade box, oscilloscope, insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, high potential testing, primary current injection, secondary voltage/current injection, and transformer turns ratio testing. Another important part of my experience is the ability to interpret electrical schematics and understand all facets of the various software applications that are integrated with the systems mentioned.
