By simplifying and streamlining yacht ownership, and the operational management of superyachts, I guide superyacht Owners through the operation of their assets and the realisation of their visions and dreams. With 14 years' industry experience and the support of the Y.CO team, I advise our Clients on all aspects of running large yachts. I have personally been involved in the management of over 40 yacht operations, and can leverage Y.CO's significant fleet experience to inform on the feasibility of any proposal and to highlight any risk, vulnerability or exposure to an Owner and their yacht. - Leading, mentoring and coaching a team of nine Client Managers - overseeing the coordination of yacht management service deliverables for over 80 yachts. - Driving Yacht Management department development and overall strategy as Chairman of the Y.CO Maritime Board leadership team. Established in 2004, Y.CO was built on a foundation of specialist knowledge, first-hand onboard experience and a passion for yachts and exploring the ocean. - Coordinating Yacht Management service deliverables for a portfolio of superyachts. - Building and developing Client, Captain, Crew, and other stakeholder relationships.
- Responsible for a Crew Compliance team of six, ensuring all regulatory requirements and contracted deliverables are fulfilled across a managed fleet of 80+ yachts. - Training my team and maintaining an overview of their performance to ensure efficiency, uniformity and quality of service.
- Freelance writing for a number of diverse Clients, all entrepreneurs and small start-ups. - Producing and editing English language content on a range of subjects including international news, property management, career coaching, nutrition and fitness. Taking advantage of flexible work hours I trained for and completed the 2015 Nice Ironman.
- Responsible for the safe running and maintenance of systems on board a number of superyachts, primarily M/Y GO (39m, June 2011 to Sept 2012) and M/Y Rahal (46m, Apr 2013 to Apr 2014). - Managing relationships with, and exceeding the expectations of, diverse UHNWI and high profile guests.
- Day to day direction of the MR&C programme in Val d’Isere, responsible for over 60 holiday properties. - Managing eight full-time and 30 part-time staff, planning and implementing all cleaning and maintenance of high quality apartments and chalets.
- Designing and delivering business conferences for the aviation MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) sector. - Researching agenda topics, interviewing subject matter experts, securing C-level executive speakers and writing sales and sponsorship marketing copy.
