I am an analytical and highly adaptable professional Engineer and Project Manager with more than 10 years of experience in managing/directing projects in the Oil, Gas and Renewables Industry throughout all project phases from pre-feed to execution for a variety of companies and clients in geographically diverse locations including the Norwegian boundaries of the North Sea, along the UK’s North Sea Continental Shelf, in West Africa and in the Mediterranean Sea. I superintend projects, inclusive of budget administration, resource allocation, logistics, performance, productivity, quality monitoring, equipment/supplies procurement, milestone achievement, liaising with clients, and negotiating third party contracts for offshore and onshore project aspects for projects valued in the range of £23m to £28m. I oversee teams of eight to ten members on average, but up to twenty members during times of increased demand. Additionally, I conduct reviews and assessments, including HAZOPs, Risk Assessments, Collision Risk Assessments, and Monthly Project Performance Reviews (PSS). I continually ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to HMC practices/procedures. I also author/review installation manuals and technical documentation related to Weather/Environmental Conditions, Marine Engineering, Structural Engineering, Installation Engineering and Fabrication/Construction Works. I am currently directing the Johan Sverdrup P2 and LQ Jacket Installations for Equinor (2016 to Present) including technical review and verification of tender handover package, tender qualifications, contract, regulations, and engineering guidelines. Throughout my tenure I have: ♦ Authored philosophies, developed engineering budgets, determined installation schedules, overseen documentation, and produced method statement inclusive of commercial costings and vessel/mariner spread schedules for a variety of successful tenders. ♦ Spearheaded extensive technical recruitment efforts. ♦ Orchestrated resources to maximize productivity by utilizing Saviom software. ♦ Networked with potential clients to increase market share by developing new business opportunities. ♦ Served on a five-member Project Technical Steering Committee tasked with creating a technical forum for exchange of ideas to improve quality, processes, procedures and equipment.
Initially hired as a Structural and Methods Engineer to conduct structural design/drawings reviews, author procedure/worksheet documentation for offshore and yard support engineering and oversee completion of yard preparation and onsite work to ensure specification compliance for a Jasmine Gas Field, Conoco Phillips Project, I was promoted to Project Engineer in 2011. In this positions I have contributed to key projects, including; ♦ Edvard Grieg Oil Field, Lundin Petroleum, North Sea, Norway (2014): Launch Jacket T&I. I was tapped to replace the initial project lead and charged with recovering progress/budgets and to ensure on-time delivery to client. I successfully recovered expenditures from 20% over budget to just 5% over budget within the last nine months of a three year project valued at £35m by streamlining project team from 15 to 7, gaining efficiency, quality, and consistency of project deliverables, by re-evaluating Third-Party Scopes of Work and fabrication contracts to identify discrepancies, tighten exposure to variation orders, improve site attendance, and report validity, and by more consistently monitoring progress. Additionally led the Offshore Technical Support Team during execution phase. ♦ OFON Phase 2, Total, West Africa (2013): OFQ and OFP2 jackets, and Five Module OFQ Topside Installation. Initially tapped as Lead Engineer for the OFQ, subsequently charged with oversight of entire scope of project. Additionally, I provided technical oversight for all deliverables and resources, interfaced with client via meetings/presentations, and supported offshore installation support in Nigeria under EPCI Contract. ♦ Jasmine Gas Field, Conoco Phillips, North Sea, UK Continental Shelf (2011-2012): JRP and JLQ Jackets, Lift Jacket in UKCS. Promoted during course of project to Project Engineer Served as Yard Representative in Italy concurrently for both jacket projects.
In this position, I contributed to the success of a variety of projects for existing and new clients including PFIs ranging from £50m (B&Q Headquarters, Eastleigh) to £550m (Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham). Key responsibilities included: ♦ Utilization of CSC Fastrak, TEDDS and STAAD Pro software to produce concept designs and detailed designs for construction of high quality offices using a variety of materials including concrete, steel, composites, and timber. ♦ Analysis of project parameters to author prospective bid work for new school construction in Bexley Borough and creation of associated tender documents, enabling informed consultation with third-party consultants and contractors. ♦ Provision of accurate construction documentation to key project stakeholders. ♦ Conduction of general site inspections, affirming adherence to construction guidelines in compliance with project parameters.
