I translate ESG from an abstract and evolving concept into concrete strategy, governance and decision-making within complex organisational environments. Currently, I am ESG Manager at FD Mediagroep (~500 FTE, €136M revenue; NL, UK and Germany), where I established the ESG function from the ground up. My work focuses on translating an evolving regulatory landscape into concrete strategy, governance frameworks and organisation-wide priorities. Key milestones include leading the full CSRD implementation (including double materiality and integration with reporting and risk management) and initiating and delivering B Corp certification, positioning ESG as a structural part of decision-making rather than a standalone initiative. A central part of my role is navigating a complex stakeholder environment, working across finance, IT, HR, operations and editorial leadership to embed ESG into core processes across diverse business units. The focus is on making ESG practical, actionable and relevant within an organisation where independence, data and trust are core to the business model. Reporting to the CFO, I work closely with the executive team to translate ESG into strategic priorities across the organisation. With a background in law (LLM) and experience in transformation and international environments, I bring a structured and analytical approach, combining regulatory understanding with strategic execution.
