Take on both roles as Software Engineer and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in Data Platform team, responsible for developing backend services while designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure to support data-intensive applications, ensuring high availability and security. ▪ Develop ETL/ELT pipelines to serve data to all TCBS scrum teams. Tech stack: Python, Spark, AWS services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Step Functions for orchestration, EventBridge for scheduling), Grafana for monitoring, Microsoft Teams for alerting. ▪ Create monthly backups of data from data warehouse and data lake into S3 as durable storage. ▪ Crawl external data using APIs, Beautiful Soup, Selenium. Store the extracted data in S3. ▪ Integrate business data from Redshift and S3 into Google Cloud BigQuery to support business intelligence and analytics needs. ▪ Develop RESTful Java Spring Boot microservices that take processed data from Redshift and load it into Salesforce CRM, deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service with Azure DevOps for CI/CD. ▪ Build a data streaming application with Apache Kafka and Amazon Managed Flink. ▪ Design, deploy, and operate a cross-organization data sharing backend using AWS Transfer Family and Amazon S3. In partnership with PTI Insurance ▪ Design and build a cloud-based data warehouse on Azure Synapse Analytics using star schema (fact and dimension tables), integrate with data from Oracle and SQL Server databases using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). ▪ Apply various data integration techniques in ODI including Control Append, Incremental Update, and Slowly Changing Dimension (SCD) Type 2 for historical data tracking in dimension tables. ▪ Use ODI Load Plans to automate ETL pipelines and orchestrate jobs in parallel and/or in series. ▪ Optimize databases and data warehouse by applying performance tuning techniques: index, partition, cache, distributed tables, cluster scaling.
▪ Communicate with Microsoft Power Platform professional users (system administrators, solution architects) via phone, email, chat, and remote session to diagnose and deliver advanced technical troubleshooting. ▪ Maintain documentation for all support cases including problems and remediation steps. ▪ Identify customers' business/technical requirements and help them build solutions with Power Platform.
