Dr. Ashutosh K Giri received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from College of Technology, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar Uttarakhand, India, in 2002, and PhD from the department of Electrical Engineering, Sardar Vallabh National Institute of Technology, Surat, India in 2020. In May 2011, he joined Department of Electrical Engineering, Government Engineering College, Bharuch, as an Assistant Professor. He has authored and co-authored more than 50 research papers in reputed journals such as IEEE TRANSACTIONS, IET Journal, Wiley, Tailor Francis, Springer etc. He has also authored and co-authored 17 book chapter which is published in Springer Publication and CRC Press, and auhored/edited 5 books for each of CRC Press, Florida and Springer Nature Singapore. He is working on four sponsored research project costing around 71 lacs INR. One sponsored research grant of Rs. 25 Lacs from the director of technical education, Gujarat state under STEM Scheme is in foreign university collaboration (Centre of CROM, Aalborg University, Denmark). Currently, he is supervising 7 PhD students. He has coordinated 6 STTP including two ATAL FDP at GEC Bharuch. He has delivered more than 36 national and international level expert talk at various reputed universities across India. He had received Research Opportunity Week (ROW) scholarship and visited Technical University of Munich Germany in March-April 2019. He has also served as a Technical Programme Committee member in Conferences organised at Scientific Federation of Dallas, USA and Kenitra, Morocco. He has served as a track chair for IEEE IAS/IES/PELS IPRECON 2021 at Kerala. He also chaired Technical Session in IEEE sponsored international conference at IIITDM Kancheepuram, Chennai. He had organised Special Session in most reputed IEEE-ECCE 2020 Conference at Detroit, Michigan, USA. He has also organized special session in ECCE-ASIA 2021 at Singapore. He is also serving as a potential reviewer in various reputed journal such as IEEE TRANSACTIONS OF POWER ELECTRONICS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, IET, Wiley etc. He was nominated best researcher of the year 2019 at electrical department, SVNIT, Surat in 2019. He is life member of Indian Society of Technical Education. Currently working on Power Electronics Application in Distributed Power Generation System. The main aim of my work is to development and implementation of Adaptive control for power quality improvement of the wind turbine connected generators running in standalone mode.
