Long before I ended my sports career in 2017, I had started to plan my next career because I am convinced that this is true for all of us: “You are the driving force!” I combine my expertise, the core of my method FACE the Challenge, with the know-how of my allies, and experts in their respective fields, and together we create something truly powerful and unique. I am very grateful for the amazing almost 30 years in boxing that have earned me the title “combined longest reigning heavyweight boxing world champion”. It became my mission to share my knowledge and give back. Together with my team at Klitschko Ventures, I developed my philosophy of life Challenge Management into the FACE method. Its 4 core skills Focus, Agility, Coordination, and Endurance show you the way to willpower, the strongest power in life, enabling you to master your challenges – professional and personal ones. In 2015, jointly with the Institute of Customer Insight at the University of St. Gallen, we had already established the further education course “CAS Change & Innovation Management” where I still teach every year. After implementing the method mainly in B2B cooperations, from 2020 onwards, we were able to reach more people with our bestselling book „F.A.C.E. the Challenge – Discover the Willpower in You!“. My expertise transfer was also covered in a case study at Harvard Business School and published in 2021. By combining my knowledge as a frequent traveler and the expertise of specialists, I opened my first hotel 11 Mirrors in Kyiv in 2012. This was later followed by the Globe Runner hostel. Kliwla is my family office that is managed by allies who bring in their long experience in the finance sector. In 2021 we announced FACE Capital: a multi-family office service. Following my mission of “giving back” the Klitschko Foundation was founded almost 25 years ago, focusing on children and young people in Ukraine to support their education. This has been expanded to the aspect of humanitarian aid since 2022. By the time of the russian invasion I have been standing side by side with my Ukrainian compatriots and my brother Dr. Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv. I repeatedly call on the world to take a stand against the injustice of this war and to support Ukraine. This was also the time when the ad hoc initiative #WeAreAllUkrainians in Germany, today's NGO, was founded by Tatjana Kiel and me in the first days of the war. For some time now, my companies have been undergoing a transformation process to implement my method in their strategic thinking and actions.
Since 2023 all intercompany units have been undergoing a comprehensive transformation process, led by Klitschko Ventures, to implement the FACE the Challenge methodology in their strategic thinking and actions. In parallel, FACE the Challenge licensing models are being developed for external partners.
FACE the Challenge is a method that helps people to successfully master challenges in the corporate as well as in the personal environment. It is based on four core skills: Focus, Agility, Coordination and Endurance that together result in willpower. The principle of duality plays a central role: The will is strengthened both mentally and physically, The method was developed by Dr. Wladimir Klitschko and his team In line with his Challenge Management philosophy of life.
#WeAreAllUkrainians has grown from the ad-hoc initiative of Dr. Wladimir Klitschko and Tatjana Kiel in the first days of the war in February 2022 to a non-profit venture in Germany. Today it is led by the managing directors Tatjana Kiel and Dörte Kruppa. The NGO primarily implements sustainable, large-scale aid projects and emergency measures in Ukraine and supports Ukrainian refugees in Germany. https://www.weareallukrainians.de/en/
KLIWLA is a single family office that was created in 2016 with an endowment style investment philosophy similar to Yale and Harvard universities and a portfolio divided across a wide spectrum of asset classes. A proven investment approach is employed to seek out globally leading fund managers across traditional asset classes as well as alternatives (Private Equity, Venture Capital and Hedge Funds), with a successful track record. KLIWLA has also a number of direct investments in e-commerce, video-gaming, biotech and entertainment industries (mainly sports).
Together with Klitschko Ventures and the Institute for Customer Insight (renamed in 2021 to Institute of Mobility) of the University of St. Gallen the advanced training course "CAS Change & Innovation Management" was launched. It teaches the basics of self- and challenge management. The renown Swiss university and experts of theory and practice prepare executives and managers for the professional and personal challenges of an increasingly complex and faster world.
Globe Runner is a trendsetting space, consisting of dorms, rooms and apartments in the center of Ukrainian capital – Kyiv housed within a historical building created to house globetrotters, modern-day explorers and adventurers.
