Specialties: Software architecture consulting, AI/GenAI consulting, middleware consulting, architecture reviews, architecture mentoring, research programs and projects, software platform consulting, knowledge transfer
I am working as as Principal Engineer with focus on AI, software architecture and distributed systems (e.g., Kubernetes)
I had been managing teams of 8 to 16 people. The teams were providing consulting and research activities in software architecture, distributed and concurrent systems.
I have been appointed Senior Principal Engineer within Siemens Corporate Technology. Due to a change within Siemens, all positions were removed and redefined. My current position of a Principal Engineer thus requires more responsibilities than the previous Senior Principal Engineer position.
I am giving lectures on software architecture and promoting Ph.D. students
I am editor-in-chief of JavaSPEKTRUM for 11 years now. In this context, I am in charge for content and strategy.
I was acting as a consultant and software developer for customers such as Borland, IBM, german government, CHIP (Vogel Verlag)
