• Decipher Analytics is a precision medicine start-up company that builds large uniform highly annotated and curated data sets for use in AI and machine learning approaches to drug discovery and medicine. • Business Development Manager with additional roles in helping to define the companies scientific strategies. Reporting directly to the CEO and senior team.
• Senior researcher in the Department of Neuronal Cell Biology leading a research group working on mammalian learning and memory • Responsible for project planning, management and supervision and training of team members (PhD students, Master students, technicians and undergraduate students). Officially recognized as a "junior PhD supervisor" by the Medical University of Vienna. • Experience in the coordination and management of research collaborations both at the national and international level (e.g. USA, UK, Germany, Switzerland). • Scientific writing including contributions to successful grant applications and the dissemination of research results via publication and presentation. •Extensive and varied teaching experience including lecturing, practical courses and seminars. •Course design, organisation and management responsibilities including the assessment of student feedback from all teaching courses as a means to further enhance and develop overall course content and strategies.
• Postdoctoral work in the lab of Professor Witold Filipowicz at the Friedrich Miescher Institute working on RNAi related topics • Independently funded position via the award of competative scholarships: an Erwin-Schrödinger-Auslandsstipendien of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and later a Human Frontiers Long Term Fellowship • Project management, supervision, scientific writing and presentation skills integral to the position. • Creation of internal institute wide database (management of a cross-functional team with members from outside matrix organizations). Improvement of database according to user needs and promotion of its use (seminars and presentations across multiple medias), the introduction and training of end users as well as project refinement upon the assessment of user feedback.
