Dr. Barimo holds a Doctorate in Education, an Executive Master of Business Administration degree, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Highlights of his career include: created a doctoral program in executive leadership, maintained an employee retention rate of 97%, designed, implemented and monitored a system that improved the delivery of university student services, oversaw the clinical operations for 102 nursing homes in Florida with over 1,000 employees and overhauled the financial operations for a college of education that increased the profit margin from 16% to 28% in one year, which translated into an increase of 2.6 million dollars, the bottom line.

Part of Dr. Barimo’s responsibilities at Indiana Tech includes serving as the Academic Coordinator of the Southern campus locations (Louisville, Northern Kentucky, Jeffersonville, IN, and Evansville, IN) for the College of Professional Studies. This role includes: knowledge and skills in best practices in adult education; recruitment and management of part-time faculty members; facilitation, collaboration, and communication between operations and student enrollment; and maintenance of academic rigor and good student relations in an adult learning, multi-campus environment. The remainder of his time is spent as an Assistant Professor of Business, teaching courses such as Personal Finance, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Business Policy and Strategic Planning.
