Chief Medical Officer at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, serving as an Executive Director and voting Board member. The role holds statutory roles as Responsible Officer and Caldicott Guardian. The role provides strategic leadership for Mental Health Law, Research & Development, Medical Education, and Clinical Governance. This has accountability for ensuring safe, high‑quality, evidence‑based care across the organisation. This includes oversight of patient safety incident management, clinical audit, and regulatory compliance, including CQC standards.
The role provides specialist and holistic assessment, treatment and ongoing care for older people experiencing mental health problems such as dementia and I have experience of both inpatients, community and memory assessment services. I am Section 12 approved and a Responsible Clinician (RC).
