I have worked within the academic and finance industry for over 20 years. Over this period I have enjoyed working in lecturing, research and investment management roles at some of Australia’s leading Universities and investment companies. My teaching experience covers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, MBA, Honours and Executive Education level classes. My classes typically reflect the need to integrate the realities of practical investment practices, whilst maintaining the highest levels of academic rigor. During my career I have successfully published numerous research articles across range of leading local and international academic journals. Prior to working in academia, I worked in the finance industry in Funds Management, Financial Planning and Treasury. At present, I provide consultancy and research services in the areas of investment analysis, quantitative financial modelling and the analysis of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investments and ratings.
• Produce high quality ESG research reports that examines the risk and performance across a range of factors comprising various E, S and G ratings metrics. • Provide reports derived from the ESG research that may be used for marketing purposes. • Undertake research and provide data and reports that can used internally to allow management and staff to examine the efficacy of their ESG ratings and processes. • Build models that produce varying ESG portfolios covering a wide range of investment strategies and risk preferences.
My primary area of research and work focused on the impact of ESG Integration and Sustainability investment strategies on the performance and risk of stocks and investment portfolios across a range of ESG / SRI investment practices in Australia.

Responsible for the development, management and delivery of a range of finance subjects for undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, and executive education classes. My primary of research expertise is in the area of ESG Integration and Sustainability Investing. • Undertake comprehensive and thought provoking research. • Develop undergraduate and postgraduate finance courses that embrace both the practical demands required of industry alongside the technical rigour required for sound academic learning. • Co-ordinate and manage classes across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects. • Engage in sound academic research with the aim of attaining refereed publications. • Supervise and mentor higher research degree students (honours and masters) engaged in research based studies. • Contribute to UQ Business School’s Ethics Committee as an active member of the committee. • Participate with industry to engender both collaborative research efforts and create long standing relationships. • Attend and present at international and domestic conferences.

Provide finance lectures at both undergraduate levels and provide tutoring lessons. Undertake higher education research projects. Provide administrative duties as required. This was a 40% fractional position whilst I was completing my PhD.
Design and implement the internal quantitative and qualitative research capabilities at Australian Unity Funds Management • Fully develop the internal research capabilities for AUFM. • Undertake extensive research across a wide range of fund managers and their respective capabilities and product offerings. • Construct ‘multi-manager’ equity and balanced investment products that demonstrate consistently competitive risk-adjusted performances. • Conduct mandate and product reviews across all Australian equity, international equity, socially responsible and a range of balanced investment vehicles. • Undertake the role of Portfolio Supervisor for the International Share-market Trust, Emerging Companies Trust, the Leaders Imputation Trust and the Australian Equity Trust. • Research, analyse and construct strategic allocation strategies for a range of balanced funds and construct performance appropriate benchmarks to assess performance and risks.• Compile monthly market/economic and product commentaries. • Research, prepare implement and manage the investment list for the Freedom of Choice Master Trust. • Research and procure software systems for research and performance analysis firm wide. • Undertake and manage all performance reporting, analytics and attribution analyses across the full range of investment products. • Present monthly reports, commentary and research strategies to management, the investment committee and Board of Directors.
