I work in capital planning and asset investment, helping organisations make smarter, long-term decisions about where and how they invest. My focus is on managing complex capital portfolios—developing robust budget submissions, prioritising asset improvements, and shaping renewal strategies that balance service outcomes, risk, and financial constraints. At the core of my role is decision-making under pressure: there are always more needs than available funding. I enjoy working through that complexity—bringing structure to competing priorities and identifying where investment will deliver the greatest value. Whether it’s maintaining critical infrastructure or improving community assets, I aim to ensure every dollar spent is deliberate, defensible, and aligned with broader organisational goals. A big part of how I add value is through data. I use tools like Power BI to transform large, often messy datasets into clear, actionable insights. This isn’t just about reporting—it’s about enabling better conversations. By improving visibility over asset condition, risk, and investment trade-offs, I help stakeholders understand the “why” behind decisions and feel confident in the path forward. Collaboration sits at the centre of my approach. I work closely with engineers, finance teams, asset managers, and operational stakeholders to align project scope, challenge assumptions, and refine priorities. Strong relationships make better outcomes possible, especially when navigating complex or competing interests. I see my role as both a planner and a translator—connecting technical detail, financial realities, and strategic direction into a shared understanding. My approach combines economic analysis, lifecycle thinking, and risk-based prioritisation to support sustainable outcomes—particularly in asset management and recreational services. I’m motivated by work that has a tangible impact on communities, where good planning today prevents bigger problems tomorrow. I take pride in being thorough, transparent, and practical. I document decisions clearly, communicate trade-offs honestly, and aim to make complex planning processes easier to understand and navigate. Ultimately, my goal is to equip decision-makers with the clarity and confidence they need to invest wisely, manage risk effectively, and deliver long-term value.
