I'm an Associate Professor specialising in healthcare AI at the Liggins Institute and the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Auckland. I'm the Editor in Chief of BMJ Digital Health & AI and Course Director for DIGIHLTH 701 "Introduction to Digital Health" and DIGIHLTH 704 "AI in Healthcare". My current research interests include investigating the adoption of AI technologies for clinical decision support, using mathematical modelling for clinical AI user interface research, and 3D simulation for health services research and healthcare worker training.
I'm an Associate Professor at the Liggins Institute and the School of Population Health at the University of Auckland.
BMJ Digital Health & AI is a new open access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the dissemination of the latest research, critical insights, and significant advancements in the fields of digital health and artificial intelligence in healthcare.
I'm a grant reviewer and expert panel member for Norges forskningsråd (The Research Council of Norway) for grant proposals in digital health, global health, healthcare AI and health informatics. The Research Council is a Norwegian government agency that funds research and innovation projects. On behalf of the Government, the Research Council invests NOK 11.7 billion annually. The Research Council is responsible for promoting basic and applied research and innovation.
