  • Google, Apple, NBC News, MSNBC, Winter Olympic Games, HIMSS. at Google
    Feb 1980 - Present · 46 yrs 5 mos

Google: Focused on newly diagnosed with a major illness. Embedded these into 37 videos embedded in the Google Health Launch looking at how to establish the correct diagnosis, how to access centers of excellence and optimal outcomes for illness. Partnered with UCLA, Mayo Clinic, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Cleveland Clinic. Apple: Engineered first of its kind “backpack journalism.” IN my career at CBS and NBC, we required expensive satellite dishes and large crews to cover humanitarian disasters and wars in Africa and the Middle East. Workmen with engineers at Apple Computer and NBC News, I designed and implement an integrated platform that allowed a single journalist to shoot, write, edit, compress and upload broadcast quality news pieces from the most remote parts of the world. I pioneered this with NBC news in Yemen, Somalia, Saudi Arabia and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. This required having three laptop computers to compress footage and three satlitte phones to transmit the compressed files. Olympic Games: Built the first state of the art sports science center specific to Winter Sports in Lake Placid New York. Technologies included on line, real time three dimensional computerized motion analysis and breath by breath gas exchange analysis. I wrote the analog to digital conversions for the instrumentation. US Ski Team: Established the first testing protocols for Nordic Ski racers and tested a wide range of athletes for MVO2 and anaerobic threshold. Built ski specific testing with the ability to load both arm and leg power. HIMSS: Selected by microsoft to present on telemedicine at HIMSS conference in Orlando. Skills: Computer language familiarity: C, Fortran, Python Platform user interface: Sketch, Invision, Adobe. Platform architecture: Advanced data analytics: Data and technology integration
